Bullets in the Jewelry Box

Bullets in the Jewelry Box - Amy Riddell Amy writes about her life growing up, her abusive father and her life as a grown up. Some times you can feel the hate in her words towards her father. Some of her poetry is adapted from her father's notes from prison, pleading for forgiveness and others start with a newspaper article.

Overall this is poetry at the top of my list. Here is a list of my favorites and a poem from book.

What is this purple appetizer serving its color from a green throat fed by rain? Small spoon for the eye, meal of laughter, ridiculous finger bowl, grape, plump, oblong tear, give me your joyous juices bitten free, your full belly, your thimble full of mercy.
